About Me
Hi, I'm Coree Luck and I'm an aspiring automotive photographer based on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia.
As a child I grew up watching V8 Supercars on TV, playing Gran Turismo on the PlayStation, collecting Hot Wheels and browsing automotive magazines/websites; I guess you could say I was obsessed with cars. My interest in photography really started with the magazines and websites. I spent more time ogling the photos in the magazines rather than reading them. Then came the internet and a little website called Speedhunters started consuming a lot of my free time. Speedhunters regulars Larry Chen, Dino Dalle Carbonare and local hero Mathew Everingham consistently blew me away with their work and in combination with the GT games which incorporated an in depth photography mode; it was only a matter of time before I picked up a camera. After studying at Motorsport Training Australia post high school and attempting an apprenticeship as a mechanic I knew that being hands on with cars was not my forte and at the age of 21 I purchased my first camera.
Since then I have learned a lot in terms of photography, owning various Nikon and Fujifilm cameras, while shooting just about anything and everything. I did spend a lot of this time in a mundane day job though, but it did come with one positive. I've always struggled with mental health and social skills and this job gave me a lot of time to think about that. After some time I realized all of this was caused by traumatic experiences I had growing up and since then I've been working to improve myself and reverse bad habits that I had formed. At this point I now feel confident in my self to make the connection's and impact required to not only pursue this dream, but make it a reality.
